Uztelecom has expanded its 5G rollout to cover all regional centers across Uzbekistan.

According to Uztelecom, the company has deployed more than 3,500 5G base stations across Uzbekistan.

"The launch of 5G network throughout the republic is an important step for modernization of Uzbekistan's telecommunication infrastructure," said Temur Mansurovich, deputy director for technical issues of UzMobile branch of Uzbektelecom.

"Now residents and guests of the country can enjoy the new generation Internet and discover the possibilities of the future."

State-owned Uztelecom has more than eight million mobile subscribers.

Rival telcos Ucell and Mobiuz also launched their respective 5G networks in 2022.
