Vertiv has released a new portfolio of high-density data center infrastructure offerings designed for businesses deploying AI.

The Vertiv 360AI range is designed to support the higher cooling and power requirements of data centers running AI workloads, the company said.

The new products aim to make deployment and AI adoption easier and faster with pre-engineered infrastructure and digitized management, suitable for high-performance computing (HPC). Vertiv claims it can be deployed twice as quickly as a typical installation from other vendors.

According to Vertiv, 360AI allows for flexibility and customization by reusing or retrofitting existing cooling systems where possible to decrease deployment cost and scope.

The Vertiv 360AI solutions range from AI test pilots and Edge inferencing to full-scale data centers. The model can power and cool up to 100kW per rack and includes flexible cooling strategies.

For example, for customers without access to chilled water, Vertiv 360AI can operate with indoor split chillers to provide liquid cooling with refrigerant-based heat rejection.

The prefabricated modular solutions include IT modules, cooling modules, and power modules that can be combined and scaled to provide capacity for current and future needs.

Brad Wilson, VP of technology at Vertiv, said: “Our Vertiv 360AI portfolio offers a simplified path for scalable AI infrastructure, addressing the new challenges that data center professionals and systems integrators are trying to solve now, including retrofits of air-cooled Edge and enterprise data centers, and build-outs of hyperscale green fields.”

Vertiv’s cooling solutions for AI and HPC include rear door heat exchangers, direct-to-chip liquid cooling and coolant distribution units, high-capacity free-cooling chillers, and large-capacity water-based prefabricated modular data center solutions.

Power solutions include UPS with lithium-ion batteries, busbar, switchgear, and battery energy storage systems.

The solutions will be presented during the first stop of Vertiv’s AI solutions innovation roadshow in Westerville, Ohio, on Wednesday, April 10.

Last month, Vertiv unveiled a digital tool for designing prefabricated modular data centers.
