Dutch firm Weserve has acquired Netherlands colo firm Datacenter Groningen.

Founded in 2003, Weserve is a fiber optic provider and operator, managing its own network and hardware from 25 data centers spread across the Netherlands.

Datacenter Groningen operates one facility outside its namesake city in Zuidbroek in the northeast of the country.

Terms of the deal were not shared.

Launched in 2011, the Datacenter Groningen facility offers 720kW. The company deployed two hydrogen-powered data center containers behind its facility in August 2021 in partnership with education firm Noorderpoort.

The facility is ISO 9001/27001 and NEN 7510 certified.
