Peter Urbick

Peter has over 25 years’ experience in the internet and telecommunications industry including at Microsoft where he worked on the groundbreaking WebTV program and eBay/Paypal where he helped create the first payment by SMS system.

Since joining DE-CIX Peter has focused on growing the DE-CIX brand and reach across the Americas. This includes in-person events, partnership development and creating market strategies on both international and local levels to support the unique qualities of each market we operate in. He has helped spearhead the launch of new exchanges (IXs) in Phoenix, Richmond, Seattle and Mexico and actively participates in business development and marketing planning across the region.

Peter holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA and a MSc Management in International Business (MIB) from the Grenoble Ecole De Management in Grenoble, France.
