As Legence’s Chief Operating Officer, Steve Hansen brings over 36 years of industry experience to Legence’s executive team. He began his career as a sheet metal general foreman at Therma, a Legence company, in 2002. Through his extensive expertise and strong management skills, Steve steadily advanced and became Therma’s Chief Operating Officer in 2021. He describes his career journey as moving from the boiler room to the boardroom, a progression that has profoundly influenced his approach to leadership at the corporate level. Steve’s vast technical knowledge and industry acumen enable him to adeptly manage Legence’s portfolio of companies in their mission to decarbonize the built environment. With a steadfast commitment to innovation, a consistent focus on safety, and a drive for excellence in every project, Steve firmly believes that a company’s greatest asset is its people.​
