Edge computing fueled by digitalization is on the rise. The need for distributed nodes has been partly driven by new technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, and made possible by the acceleration of 5G, which is rising steadily after being stilted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

It's evident that Edge computing demands more flexibility than traditional data centers. However, nobody said it would be easy, and there are a wide range of challenges that the sector faces in deploying and capitalizing on Edge.

In this report, we present the results of our Edge survey, brought to you by Schneider Electric and DCD. We look at the use cases, the drivers, and the pain points, and break them down by sector and region, so you can be better prepared for Edge deployment
