No one runs a data center by themselves, and teamwork is a crucial skill alongside the technical know-how the job requires. The operations team has to work on behalf of clients inside and outside their organization, and make sure the operation runs reliably and effectively.

The judges want to hear about teams convened to undertake a special task or project. This may happen at any stage in the data center life cycle but it will require coordination and dedication which goes above and beyond day-to-day operations. The winning team might, for example, have been involved in fitting out, refitting or decommissioning a site, or meeting a specific and critical operation challenge.
