The principles behind 'whole of life' sustainability start (by definition) from the very beginning of the data center's life. According to DCD analyses, an average of 27% of its life footprint is accounted for by the construction process so any carbon savings here may have considerable impact on sustainable outcomes.  

This presentation will look at the sustainability challenges for data center constructors, allied professionals and their supply chains, and some of the solutions under consideration. It will put this in the context of the performance pressures on building projects and the role that clients need to take in this conversation.
