Panel: Building for change - how can data centers have a positive social impact in local communities?

This episode will stream live at 1:30pm SGT

In order to deliver world-class digital services, you must have world-class digital infrastructure. The boom in eCommerce, digital services and 5G has led to the rapid rollout of data centers across the entire APAC region. Despite the obvious benefits in terms of connectivity, employment opportunities and improved critical infrastructure, objections have postponed or even prevented data center construction in some regions.

Tune into this episode to hear practical examples of the steps data centers are taking to show that they can be an asset to the local community. With power and water scarce in some Asia-Pacific regions, how can data centers be more sustainable and showcase their importance to our digitalized world? In what ways can data centers help to bridge the region’s digital divides? Furthermore, with the importance of ‘S’ in ESG increasing to investors and clients, speakers will highlight how they are assessing the social impact of data centers, and delivering on those aspects that make a real difference to the communities in which they wish to build.
