Residents in South Dallas, Texas, have been impacted by an AT&T outage that has so far lasted for two weeks.

According to local reports, businesses in the area have been losing out on revenue since Christmas Day, when services first went down.

The outage has been blamed on copper thefts in the area, said AT&T.

It's not known exactly how many residents have been impacted by the outages, but AT&T's website confirms that the impacted Zip code, 75210, is still plagued by the outages.

The outage has affected Internet, TV, and home phone services.

AT&T has said that it's working to fix the problem, but did not give a timeframe.

"We are working as quickly as possible to restore home phone and Internet service in a southern Dallas neighborhood after it was disrupted by recent copper thefts. We are working with city leaders and local law enforcement, who are investigating to find those responsible," said AT&T in a statement.

CBS News reported that residents in South Dallas have complained that the outage would have been resolved quicker had it been in another part of the city. This claim has been dismissed by the telco.

"Any suggestion that location or demographics have impacted the restoration of service for our customers is false. We treat all outages with urgency and handle them as quickly as possible. There were damages to multiple pieces of equipment in multiple areas and we are working around the clock to restore service for our customers."
