In a LinkedIn post, the company said the Stockholm 4 South facility offers 20MW of capacity across 8,000 sqm (86,110 sq ft) of IT space.

Combined with the company’s Stockholm 2 facility, the data centers comprise the Stockholm South campus.

The Stockholm 2 facility has a capacity of 4MW across five computer rooms.

Conapto added its Stockholm 4 data center is powered by 100 percent renewable energy via Vattenfall 24/7 and is prepared for heat reuse and liquid cooling.

The facility is also optimized for AI workloads and high-density loads.

Plans for the facility were first announced in October 2022. The company later secured $39 million in debt financing to facilitate the building of Stockholm 4.

The Conapto business has roots back in 1982, when it was founded as Backupcentralen, which Sungard Availability Services bought in 2002. Sungard AS sold off its Swedish subsidiary to Segulah Fund V in 2018, which founded Conapto. European investment fund Marguerite acquired the company in 2021.

Stockholm is currently home to data center providers such as Stack Infrastructure, Equinix, Global Connect, Exa Infrastructure, and Verizon.
