To be set on government-owned land, the facility will offer an initial capacity of 30MW and is expected to be operational by mid-2026.

Khazna has signed a Musataha (long-term development lease) agreement with ADIO for the land.

“Our partnership with ADIO exemplifies our commitment to spearheading Abu Dhabi and the UAE’s digital and AI ambitions by expanding our network of state-of-the-art data centers,” said Ziad Samaha, VP of business development at Khazna.

According to its website, Khazna, has five facilities in operation around Abu Dhabi. The most recent, AUH6, launched in Masdar City earlier this year.

Khazna currently operates ten data center sites across the UEA, with five more under development. The number of facilities under the company significantly increased after the merger with G42 and Etisalat Group, first announced in October 2021. The merger between the three made Khazna the UAE’s largest data center provider. The company is also developing a facility in Cairo, Egypt.
