Legrand has acquired two companies in the data center and cable industries.
The company this week said it had acquired UPSistemas in Colombia and APP (Australian Plastic Profiles) in Australia.
UPSistemas is a specialist in the integration, commissioning, maintenance, and monitoring of technical infrastructures, particularly for data center facilities.
The Colombian firm is based in Bogota and has more than 300 employees, reporting an annual revenue of around €30 million ($33m).
The company said this is its fourth acquisition in the data center industry this year after having acquired Netrack, Davenham, and Vass.
APP is an Australian cable management firm for all types of buildings. The company employs around 250 people with an annual revenue of more than €100 million ($110.3m).
Legrand said the acquisition of APP doubles its presence in Australia and will make it a major player in the Australian cable management market.
Benoît Coquart, director general of Legrand, said: “Our external growth is particularly vigorous this year, with seven operations announced to date representing annualized revenue of nearly €350 million ($386.4m). We will maintain this momentum in coming quarters as we continue to strengthen our position through targeted and complementary acquisitions.”
Headquartered in Limoges, France, Legrand is a French industrial group. The company currently operates in 90 countries with its offerings including electrical equipment and digital building infrastructure.
