A vacant office and data center is up for sale in Bakersfield, California.

19632 Industry Parkway Drive
– ASU Commercial

Via LoopNet, ASU Commercial is offering 19632 Industry Parkway Drive for sale; the listing price is $4.25 million.

The Kern County property is described as a single-tenant stand-alone commercial office building originally constructed as a bank branch with support administrative office space.

Set on 2.4 acres and built in 2008, the one-story building totals 10,615 sq ft (986 sqm). The site has since been partially remodeled to include data center improvements that feature upgraded electrical capacity, an emergency generator, and a newly installed canopy-mounted photovoltaic system.

According to the sales brochure, the property includes a 500kW emergency generator and a 260kW canopy-mounted solar system over the parking lot.

The data center features a UPS system and an in-rack 20kW DX cooling system. The building is fully gated for security and is in occupancy-ready, plug-and-play condition.

Online listings suggest the site was previously occupied by local managed services provider Quantum Data Systems. Previous news reports suggest the company had occupied the property since 2008. It’s unclear, however, when the company – a division of Kern Schools Federal Credit Union (now known as Valley Strong Credit Union) – exited the facility.

A DirecTV-occupied data center and broadcast facility was up for sale in Bakersfield last year.
