New thinking about reliable and efficient data center power
David HallSenior Director Technology Innovation, Equinix
David Hall is part of the CTO office and Data Center of the Future Group at Equinix driving the development of customer centric data center innovation. He is part of the team that developed Equinix’s Co-Innovation Facility; an industry leading lab to develop and test the infrastructure that will support the next generation of Equinix data centers.
His interests include machine learning, power systems, battery technologies, fuel cells and direct liquid cooling technologies and other techniques to optimise data center utilization, improve reliability and to reduce cost. He has published papers and patents on a wide variety of next generation data center technologies covering edge data center design and optimisation, battery management, machine learning for load forecasting, power bar technologies and software defined power.
He lives in London with his Old English Sheepdog; Oppenheimer; and travels frequently for work in California.
