Mike Buckingham
Managing Director, EMEA, CBREWith a background in telecommunications and building services engineering, Mike has spent his entire career in the Data Centre industry and developed a deep knowledge, from technical operations through to construction whilst working for both clients and end users across EMEA.
Mike joined CBRE Data Center Solutions, the world's largest outsourced Data Centre company, in January '20, taking a Global leadership role managing Data Centre principal construction projects, Program Management & Technology Infrastructure. He joined CBRE from Google, where he led Hyperscale construction in the Netherlands and more recently, their regional cloud construction program in EMEA.
Mike is deeply passionate about all aspects of Data Centres with a particular focus on what a DC of the future will look like; the impact technology will have on how it will be constructed, how it will be operated and how it will impact the environment. As part of CBRE DCS' global Executive Committee, he is helping to shape the future of outsourced operations & construction.
