Founded in 2003, Surfix offers hosting, cloud, connectivity, and security services from its Tier III data center in the Boa Viagem neighborhood in Recife, in the state of Pernambuco.

The company also has a presence in São Paulo through a local partner.

Local press report the company now plans to invest R$520 million (US$105m) installing an Edge data center in each of the 26 state capitals across the country – plus the federal district – in the coming years.

"With national expansion, Surfix Data Center is consolidating itself as one of the main companies in the sector in Brazil. The company offers complete solutions to meet the needs of companies looking for the best infrastructure for their data,” the company said.

Surfix invested R$5 million (US$1m) to achieve Tier III certification at its Recife location.
