Thor Equities has acquired a 270-acre parcel of land in LaGrange, Georgia, for a data center development.

According to Thor, the site is also fully equipped with transformers, water, sewer, and natural gas infrastructure which will enable the "immediate deployment" of a data campus.

The exact location of the site is 411 Pegasus Parkway, LaGrange.

“We firmly believe in the growth potential of data centers, driven by the demand for AI technologies, cloud computing, and more influential factors. The increasing reliance on digital infrastructure further strengthens our conviction and reinforces our confidence, making this acquisition particularly exciting," said the chairman of Thor Equities Group, Joe Sitt.

"Georgia is recognized as one of the most sought-after markets, and our property’s substantial power capacity and utilities position it as one of the most coveted sites in the Southeast,”

Thor Equities' data center developments are owned and operated by its Form8tion company, founded in March 2023. Form8tion broke ground on its Madrid campus in July of that year and is planned to eventually have an IT capacity of more than 100MW across 60,000 sqm (645,835 sq ft).

In December 2023, Google's Raj Vohra was hired by Thor to head the data center division.
