Iain Farquharson

Specialist Services Design Manager, ISG

Iain has spent over 26 years in construction working at M&E contractors, the CITB, a DC owner/operator and at ISG (a principal main contractor).  After completing a degree in Cognitive Science (AI), he worked as a data installer for nine years. He became a beta tester for Barclays Bank's server software and later oversaw server upgrades for their retail network. Iain eventually became the Account Manager (via a contractor), overseeing 35% of the retail network for WAN/LAN and dedicated power across more than 500 sites. He also worked on projects for Lloyds Bank, Post Office, Nationwide, MOD, MoJ plus retail.  Iain's achievements include delivering the largest solar farm in the UK (at the time) and the largest John Lewis Partnership warehouse in Europe for data connectivity (at the time).  He was recognized by iMasons in 2021 as one of the top 100 individuals in IT.  Currently, Iain is focused on the data center industry with ISG.
