Matt Zwolenski

Chief Technologist, Google Cloud Australia & NZ

Matt joined Google in 2020 and is the Chief Technologist for Google Cloud in Australia & NZ. He leads a large team of cloud technologists and architects who are responsible for the cloud transformation journeys for many of the organizations, startups and Government agencies within this region. 

Matt's team consists of AI and machine learning specialists, cloud architects and application and infrastructure modernisation consultants who help customers on their digital journey. He has expertise in analytics and AI, as well as a background in software development and agile culture transformation. 

Matt has led large, distributed teams of architects in the Australian and Asia Pacific region and has been responsible for the technical sales portfolio for multi-billion dollar business units.

Prior to joining Google, Matt was the Vice President for Presales across the Asia Pacific & Japan region at Dell Technologies, CTO for EMC in Australia & NZ and Technology Architect at IBM. He is author of the book “Enterprise Hybrid Cloud for Dummies” which has helped organizations shift their traditional IT systems to Cloud first models. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in software engineering and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He is an avid scuba diver, enjoys surfing, traveling and outdoor adventures.
