The data center has room for more than 350 racks and 2MW of IT capacity which can be scaled according to demand.

Yotta G1 is located inside the International Financial Services Center (IFSC) zone of Gandhinagar’s Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT city). According to the company, it can operate for global customers for colocation, cloud computing, and storage functions, and as a local data center or "digital embassy" for those customers with sovereignty requirements.

Being in the IFSC gives the data center access to free foreign exchange convertibility and a liberalized regulatory environment.

“The state of Gujarat, with GIFT City, has been at the forefront of providing a viable and sustainable platform for global businesses to set up base in India. The setting up of the IFSC zone is a further testament to their vision for financial services companies," said Yotta co-founder and chairman Darshan Hiranandani. "We are proud to support this vision of the Gujarat government with a state-of-the-art data center within the IFSC zone, providing the latest and best in cutting-edge technologies to help businesses set up and scale their businesses while also adhering to all regulatory requirements."

Hiranandani-owned Yotta also has cloud data centers in Noida and Navi Mumbai, both of which will be hosting the company's recently launched Shakti Cloud Platform. The company is also developing more data centers in Mumbai and Dhaka, Bangladesh. The company also has Edge locations in operation or development in Lucknow, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Coimbatore, Indore, Nagpur, Jaipur, and Chandigarh.

Last month, CtrlS broke ground on a $30m data center in GIFT City. The size and capacity of said facility have not been shared.
